The town of Wrangell is located on Wrangell Island, there are no roads or bridges to Wrangell.
Alaska Airlines flies in to Wrangell twice a day with a Northbound jet in the morning and a Southbound jet in the afternoon.
If you are visiting from the south, you would fly out of Seattle with a stop in Ketchikan (approx 80 miles south of Wrangell) and would arrive in Wrangell at about 10:30 AM.
If you are coming from the north you fly from Anchorage to Juneau, the state capitol, approx. 150 miles north of Wrangell, and then stop in Petersburg and then arrive in Wrangell at about 4:30 PM.

If you would like to take the scenic route with the Alaska Marine Highway System you could leave out of Bellingham, Washington, with a stop in Ketchikan and then on to Wrangell.
Another option is to drive to Prince Rupert B.C. and then enjoy a 12 hour ferry ride to Wrangell. We have done this many times and the scenery through British Columbia is spectacular. Here is the link for the ferry system.
